1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the operator of the EdWealth service and its affiliates ("EdWealth", "we", "us", "our") collect, use, share, and protect personal information in connection with the websites (including edwealth.ai), mobile applications, browser extensions, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), including your interactions with our AI assistant, "Ed".

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide to us

• Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and basic account details. If you sign in through a third-party provider (such as Google, Apple, or X), we receive the information that provider makes available to us, such as your name and email address.
• Financial profile information. Information you choose to share during onboarding or while using the Service, such as your approximate age, income, expenses, cash, debt, investments, risk tolerance, interests, and preferences. Providing this information is voluntary.
• Conversations with Ed. The content of your messages and conversations with Ed.
• Uploads. Screenshots, documents, images, and files you upload to the Service, which may contain financial information. You can view, manage, and delete your uploads in the in-app vault.
• Goals and plans. Financial goals, plans, progress updates, and related information you create or provide.
• Communications. Information you provide when you contact us, respond to surveys, or participate in promotions.

2.2 Information from linked accounts

If you choose to connect a financial account (such as a bank, brokerage, or digital-asset exchange account), we receive information from that account through third-party connectivity providers or through API credentials you supply — such as balances, holdings, positions, transactions, and account metadata. Access is read-only: the Service does not offer any functionality to move money or place trades. Where connections are made through an OAuth-based connectivity provider, you authenticate directly with your institution or the provider, and your login credentials are not received or stored by us. You may disconnect a linked account at any time in the Service settings.

2.3 Information collected automatically

When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect: device and browser information (such as device type, operating system, app version, language); identifiers (such as IP address and device or push-notification identifiers); usage information (such as features used, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service); approximate location derived from your IP address; crash reports and diagnostic data; and information collected through cookies and similar technologies on our websites. If you install our browser extension, it may also process information about your use of the extension in order to provide its features. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

2.4 Information we derive

We generate information about you from the information above in order to provide the Service — for example, your financial overview and profile, financial-health scores, personalized briefs, signals, and suggestions.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide and personalize the Service — including building and maintaining your financial overview and profile, generating scores, check-ups, briefs, signals, plans, and responses from Ed, and tailoring content to your interests and preferences;
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service — including troubleshooting, analytics, research, and developing new features;
• Communicate with you — including service communications (such as alerts and notifications you have enabled) and, where you have opted in or not opted out (as required by applicable law), marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time;
• Process payments and manage subscriptions — through our payment providers;
• Protect the Service and our users — including security, fraud prevention, and enforcing our Terms of Service; and
• Comply with law — including responding to lawful requests and legal process.

De-identified and aggregated data. We may create and use de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated information that does not identify you for any lawful purpose, including analytics, research, benchmarking, and improving the Service.

We do not use your personal information to train our own AI models.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

We share information only as follows:

• Service providers. With third parties that perform services on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, in categories including: cloud hosting and infrastructure; AI model providers (to generate responses and analysis within the Service); financial data aggregators and connectivity providers (to link your accounts at your direction); payment processors; analytics providers; and customer-support and communications tools. The specific providers we use may change from time to time.
• At your direction. When you use sharing features (such as shareable progress cards or conversation links), the content you choose to share is visible to the people you share it with and anyone else who obtains the link. Certain data may be redacted in shared formats as described in the Service, but you control — and are responsible for — what you share.
• Affiliates. With our corporate affiliates for the purposes described in this Policy.
• Legal. Where required by law or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, ourselves, or others, or to enforce our terms.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization or restructuring, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to this Policy or successor terms notified to you.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services — such as sign-in providers, financial connectivity providers, exchanges, payment processors, and app stores. Information you provide directly to those third parties, or that they collect independently, is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security records.

You can delete uploaded materials at any time in the in-app vault, disconnect linked accounts at any time, and request deletion of your account. When you delete data or your account, we will delete or de-identify the relevant personal information, except where retention is required or permitted by law. Residual copies may remain in our backup systems for a limited period after deletion before being permanently removed.

8. Your Choices and Rights

• Access, correction, deletion. Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable law to request access to, correction of, portability of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may exercise these choices by contacting us at support@edwealth.ai; we will respond as required by the law applicable to you. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
• In-product controls. You can manage and delete your uploads in the in-app vault, disconnect linked accounts, and adjust notification settings, at any time.
• Marketing. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or your notification settings. We may still send you non-promotional service communications.
• Cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function without them.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@edwealth.ai and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

We operate globally, and your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in jurisdictions other than your own, which may have different data-protection standards. Where required by applicable law, we take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Service with a revised "Last Updated" date, and material changes may be notified through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Policy.
