The Sui Network saw its daily activity increase by 60 percent on May 24, processing 4.38 million transactions and widening its lead over rival Move-language blockchain Aptos.
Data from Chainspect confirmed the transaction surge, while DefiLlama data shows Sui’s Total Value Locked (TVL) at $2.6 billion, more than double Aptos’ $1.0 billion. Both are L1 blockchains derived from Meta's abandoned Diem project.
The activity spike gives Sui a market capitalization of $4.11 billion compared to Aptos’ $757 million. Sui also recorded $175.6 million in 24-hour trading volume, far outpacing Aptos’ $20.4 million, according to CoinGecko data.
While both networks have a similar 40 percent circulating token supply, the widening gap in on-chain liquidity and developer momentum suggests Sui is capturing a larger share of the ecosystem. Price recovery metrics also differ, with SUI down 80 percent from its peak while APT remains down 96 percent.
