Kled AI Leverages $9M Funding to Reward Data Contributors
Kled AI has launched a mobile data marketplace that compensates users for uploading personal photos and files, which are then licensed to developers for training artificial intelligence models. This model allows contributors to receive a portion of the revenue generated from their data. The platform has gained significant traction, achieving a top-100 ranking in the App Store across numerous countries with millions of daily uploads.
The project's credibility is supported by a total of $9 million in funding. This includes a $5.5 million seed round in March 2026, with backing from prominent investors such as Sebastian Thrun, the founder of Waymo, Bernard Arnault’s Aglaé Ventures, and K5 Global. This financial backing provides a solid foundation for its user payout system.
Users Earn USD with Option to Swap for $KLED Tokens
Participants earn real USD for their data uploads through the Kled AI application. Although an official airdrop event has not been formally announced, the project has released a $KLED token. Users have the option within the app to exchange their USD earnings for $KLED, a move that could lead to larger payouts if the token's value appreciates. The minimum withdrawal threshold is set at $25.
This structure positions early contributors advantageously for any potential future token distributions. By building an upload history and accumulating activity, users who swap their earnings for $KLED tokens are effectively becoming early token holders. The swap windows may be time-limited, requiring users to monitor the app for opportunities.
How to Participate on the iOS-Only Platform
Participation is currently restricted to Apple users. The process begins by downloading the Kled iOS app from the App Store and entering an invite code. Users can then upload original photos from their device's camera roll; screenshots and downloaded images are not permitted. The platform rewards variety in subjects, lighting, and settings.
To increase earnings, users can complete specific data tasks like labeling or annotating images found within the app. Once an account balance reaches the $25 minimum, a user can initiate a withdrawal, which may require completing a KYC verification process. All earnings and referral statistics can be monitored through dedicated tabs within the application.
