- A dormant crypto whale converted 2,831 ETH into 90.46 WBTC
- The transaction was valued at approximately $6.67 million
- The whale's wallet still retains over $51 million worth of ETH

A previously dormant crypto whale address executed a significant portfolio rotation, swapping 2,831 Ethereum (ETH) for 90.46 Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) worth approximately $6.67 million.
"The whale, after being dormant for 2.5 months, swapped 2831 ETH for 90.46 WBTC," according to on-chain monitoring service Onchain Lens, which first flagged the activity.
The transaction saw the entity exchange the ETH for the tokenized Bitcoin equivalent on the Ethereum blockchain. Despite the large trade, the whale’s address still holds a substantial position of 21,733 ETH, valued at current prices of around $51.46 million.
This move is notable as the ETH/BTC ratio is a closely watched indicator of market leadership and capital rotation within the digital asset ecosystem. A sustained trend of large holders rotating from Ethereum to Bitcoin could signal a flight to the relative safety of the market's largest asset and potentially weigh on Ethereum's price performance in the near term. Traders will be monitoring if this is an isolated trade or the beginning of a broader capital shift.
