Atos secured a multi-year agreement with commercial insurer CNA valued at up to $500 million, extending and expanding a long-term infrastructure and cybersecurity services partnership.
"Atos has become much more than a service provider to CNA — they are a trusted partner,” said Jane Possell, executive vice president & chief information officer at CNA.
The new agreement covers a wide range of mission-critical operations, including mainframe services, network and middleware operations, digital workplace support, and identity and access management. The contract has an initial base term of 67 months with options for future extensions and additional services.
The deal solidifies a significant revenue stream for Atos, a global digital transformation firm, while ensuring operational stability and modernization for one of the largest U.S. commercial property and casualty insurers. The partnership has been in place for nearly a decade.
"CNA’s decision to extend this partnership reflects the strength of the trusted relationship we have built together over many years," said Michael Grunberg, head of North America at Atos. He noted that the collaboration has driven measurable service improvements and supported CNA's long-term business objectives.
Both companies are exploring how AI-driven service innovation can further enhance operational efficiency and resilience. Atos, with annual revenue of approximately €7.2 billion, operates in 54 countries and is a European leader in cybersecurity and cloud services.
This agreement reinforces Atos's position as a key IT partner in the insurance sector, providing a stable, long-term anchor client. For CNA, it locks in a known provider for its complex IT environment, prioritizing resilience and future innovation through AI.
